The Hang is an analogue oddity in a digital world, capturing the zeitgeist and desire for more retro pastimes The Hang provides a vinyl record store and music hangout right in the heart of Taikoo Li Chengdu. Chengdu has a rich and vibrant underground music scene with a healthy amount of young DJ’s, music producers and street culture fans. The Hang is the one place that allows people to gather to experience this. Located directly opposite China's biggest Apple store, The Hang manages to stand defiant in the face of the high tech company, an antithesis in both aesthetics and technology perhaps.

The two level location is split between dark and moody spaces of the vinyl store and light bright and fun of the upper floors. A rich pallete of terrazzo, stainless steel and walnut finishes set the scene whilst augmented by bold neon design by Shanghai’s famed neon artist "Carlos".
