Inspired by fractal geometry and tensegrity principles, this 4.5m light sculpture balances tensioned steel wires with carbon fiber rods to form pyramidal units. Rapidly prototyped and finalized using high-strength 3D printed nylon nodes, the entire structure weighs a remarkably light 90kg.
Concealed wiring within each unit powers custom LED PCBs, meticulously mapped and animated for dynamic effects. Spring-tensioned Mylar surfaces filter and reflect light, creating an immersive experience greater than the sum of its parts.
