PARABOLA

Parabola is a floor standing or hanging illuminaire, designed and fabricated as a geometrically precise paraboloid ( y= a(x-h)2+k ). Electric light from singular point source is collected by the Parabola and radiated by the myriad facets bathing a space in an even glow, yet to the viewer the bulbs filaments are transformed into an incandescent kaleidoscope. The natural geometry seen within the head of a sunflower served as inspiration for the division of the Parabola surface — The 1,2,3,5,8... Fibonacci sequence informing the bisecting spirals that define the Parabola’s facets.
